In July 2024, Austen Morgan changed his practice: by stopping all new court cases; but running off his existing caseload over the next year or so; in order to concentrate upon his developing advisory practice.

From July 2024, Austen Morgan will be: providing written and oral advice; to individuals and public bodies; and acting as an expert witness in the family court and high court – in the general area of international family law.

Topics include:

• placing children in Hague convention countries;
• placing children in non-Hague convention countries;
• international assessments and international social work;
• alleged abductions, into and out of the UK;
• international adoptions, into and out of the UK;
• intra-UK cases, involving England & Wales and Scotland or Northern Ireland.
